Obituary

Beloved father and husband, George Richard Pullis passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the age of 75, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his soulmate and wife, Jeanne A. Pullis of Millbrook, NY and his children whom he adored: Michael (Derenda) Pullis of Georgetown, TX; Amy (Rob) Rotundo of Staatsburg, NY; Alexia and Julia Williams of Millbrook, NY; Step-children Lori-Beth (Manuel) Villalobos of NY; Danny (Amanda) Patsey of Halfmoon, NY; Joseph Lauriti of Jacksonville, FL; Linda Williams (predeceased) and his many cherished grandchildren, great-grandson, nieces and nephews.

He was born in Fishkill, NY on July 19, 1949, the son of G. Esther and Frederick J. Pullis (predeceased). His childhood was defined by his loving family and the nieces and nephews with whom he would constantly pal around with and cause mischief. He had passions for bowling, fishing and golfing, and loved nothing more than to be with his uncountable friends, playing and of course beating them in any match. He was a Mechanical Engineer and Division Manager for L.J. Gonzer Associates for 36 years, until his retirement in 2024. Prior to LJGA, he was the Chief Engineer of Special Machinery and Senior Designer for 15 years at Branson Ultrasonics Corporation in Danbury, CT. Engineer by trade, he was also a jack-of-all trades, dabbling in mechanics, woodworking and carpentry, plumbing, electrical and so much more. He could design and build anything you asked or imagined, and fix anything that needed fixing. He was a very social person and was a role model to all that were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. The word 'no' was not in his vocabulary with his unbounding sense of humor, he was generous to a fault, and loved to share his vast knowledge and expertise with anyone wanting to learn. Above all, 'Poppy' loved being with his family and friends, playing games, hosting barbecues, golfing, fishing, those annual Rhode Island seafood festivals, and especially watching Jeopardy!
Married 35 years to his beloved 'GiGi' whom he loved unconditionally and together they mapped a life full of love, family, and cherished memories. He leaves a legacy of love and laughter that will go on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His star will shine brightly...
