Frank DiBlasi Jr., 81 of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Saturday, June 12 at his residence after a long illness. Born in Jersey City, NJ on November 5, 1939, he was the son of the late Frank and Shirley Wiley DiBlasi. Frank served his country with the United States Navy and served two tours; his first tour as member of VW-2 an EC-121 "Super Connie" squadron at NAS Patuxent River MD and his second tour as an Air Traffic Controlman assigned to the USS America(CVA-66). Frank was honorably discharged on April 10, 1967.

On February 8 ^th 1964 at St. Aloysius Church in Jersey City he married Doris May Smith. Mrs. DiBlasi survives at home.

Mr. DiBlasi was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration at JFK Airport as an Air Traffic Controller and retired after many years of service. Mr. DiBlasi was involved with the New York State Right to Life for many years.

In addition to his wife Doris, Frank is survived by his 5 children; John "Frank" DiBlasi and his wife Lisa; Thomas DiBlasi and his wife Marjorie, Michael DiBlasi and his wife Debra, Nicholas DiBlasi and Alice Shaughnessy and her husband Jack; his grandchildren, Lianna DiBlasi, Alexa DiBlasi, Nicholas DiBlasi and his wife Molly, Anthony DiBlasi, Samantha DiBlasi, Victoria DiBlasi, Angela Christian and her husband Travis, Lucas DiBlasi and his wife Megan, Jacob DiBlasi and Toni Marie DiBlasi; great grandchildren, Wyatt Christian, Wesley Christian, Ronan Christian, Corra DiBlasi and Jack DiBlasi; his brother James DiBlasi; his sister Suzanne DiBlasi and his niece Chanel. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathryn DiBlasi on June 9, 1988.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
