Obituary

Frank Grieco died on December 18, 2021 peacefully at home with his loving family in attendance. Born June 30,  1929 in Bronx New York he was the son of Joseph and Kate Quaglino Grieco. He lived and died in Putnam Valley in the home that he built himself more than 60 years ago.
Psalm 37:23 (The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delights in his ways.) This was truly the embodiment of Frank's moral compass in his life's journey. Frank was deeply upright and firm in his convictions. He deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a true patriot who loved his country and was honorably discharged from NYS National Guard 991 Field Artillery.
Frank served as the head of Putnam County Conservative Party as well as served as a volunteer fireman in the Mount Vernon Fire Dept Fire Truck 3. Frank was a retired member of Cement Mason Local Union 780 and the Bricklayers Local Union 1 of New York. He was an active member of Hyde Park Historical Society and was a Civil War and WWII historian.
In his 80's Frank picked up a paintbrush and became our "Grandpa Moses" and was amazing in his accomplishment. He was actively involved in Artist Collective Gallery in Hyde Park alongside his beloved brother Carl and sister-in-law Marilyn.
Frank was a fixture at the Eveready Diner in Hyde Park on Saturday mornings where he sat with a large group of friends drinking coffee. The waitresses knew to pour him a cup of decaf coffee when he walked into the diner.
Frank is survived by his beloved son Raymond (Lisa), daughter Barbara (David) Brinkerhoff and David (Karen) Greener. Grandchildren Joey Grieco (Natalie), Nicole Grieco (Mike), Frank Grieco (Morgan) Heather Short (Erik), TJ Short (Alicia), David Greener (Janelle), Adam Greener (Iyana), Stephanie Greener (Victor). Great grandchildren Sonny Ray Grieco, Abigail, Joshua, Noah Short, Autumn Chuka, Lillianna and Logan Greener, Nicholas Elezaj, Jaxson and Grace Nazario, and Adam Frank Greener.
Frank is survived by his beloved brother and best friend Carl (Marilyn). Always together in work and play. Loving brothers to the very end.
Frank was predeceased by his son Ralph Grieco in 2008.   In 2009, the true love of his life wife Marjorie left to go home.  It is a given that she was standing by the gate calling out his name when he went home.
