Frances Adolphsen, aka Frances Sheffield, aka Frances Myers. 86 years old, resided at Lutheran Care Center at Concord Village until she left this world on August 9, 2021. Born on January 28, 1935, she was the daughter of John and Evelyn (Horton) Myers in Clinton Corners NY. Frances was employed at Dupont and retired after many years of service. She enjoyed camping, reading, singing, fishing, bird watching and every kid in the neighborhood who needed a place to lay their head, they all called her mom or grandma. Frances believed in the lord and sought out many religious affiliations through her life. She sang to me as we fought through the pain; Sing a song of six pence a pocket full of rye four and twenty black birds baked in a pie.
She leaves behind son Douglas Sheffield and granddaughters Jessica Kolbe and Tristan LeBeouf, great granddaughter McKayla LeBeouf, and great great grandson Jaxson LeBeouf; daughter Mary (Missy) Sheffield-Juavinett, husband John M. Juavinett Sr., grandson John M. Juavinett Jr., granddaughter Jennifer Juavinett- Ferretti and her husband Anthony Ferretti and great granddaughter Gemma Ferretti; son John Sheffield, wife Debra Sheffield, granddaughter Christina McClinchey, her husband Robert McClinchey, great grandson Dante McClinchey, grandson John Sheffield Jr. his wife Chrystal Sheffield great granddaughters Cyndi Chapman, Kirsten Sheffield, and great grandson Austin Sheffield; son Richard Adolphsen and granddaughters Heidi Hudson and Robin Adolphsen; daughter Freda Davis, husband George Davis and grandsons George Davis Jr., Keith Davis, and his girlfriend Jessie Russell; son Matthias Adolphsen wife Jennifer Adolphsen, granddaughter Rachel Adolphsen, grandsons Cody Adolphsen and Zach Adolphsen and his daughter, great granddaughter Reiley Adolphsen.
She was predeceased by siblings Viney Zaremba, Ethel Rosmilso, Alvih Myers and her beloved dog Chazz She was the last matriarch of her generation and family. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13 from 5 -8 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 19 at 10 am in Schultzville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice.
