Esther Conklin, 89 died peacefully in her home on January, 10th 2023. She was born April  4, 1933 to Ellen and Robert Clarke. Esther was well known for her involvement with the Millbrook community.
Esther graduated with a degree in nursing from The Rhode Island School of Nursing. She served the Millbrook community as the school nurse but later perused a graduate degree in education becoming a principal for the Millbrook School district. Esther had a passion for the outdoors, volunteering at Millbrook gardens and playing golf with her lifelong husband Carl. The two were sweethearts and lifelong companions.Together they raised their 4 sons in Millbrook, NY.

Esther was a world traveler, she loved adventure and always enjoyed a good story. Esther lived a busy life splitting her time between her friends and family that she loved dearly. Esther is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Robert Clarke and daughter-in-law Susan Conklin. She is survived by her sister Jane McGivoney of Warwick, RI.; Her four sons, (Nadine) and David Conklin, Clinton Corners, NY. (Teresa) and Neal Conklin Burns, TN. (Natalie) and Carl Conklin Poughkeepsie, NY and Kayel Conklin Dover Plains, NY. Esther also had 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  A graveside service will be held on January 16th at 10 am at Nine Partners Cemetery, Millbrook.
