Ellen Botscheller of Beacon passed away peacefully on February 19, 2016 at Wingate at Beacon.  She was 91.

Born on June 21, 1924 in Bronx, New York to the late Michael and Rose Cassidy McInerney.

Ellen is survived by her loving children Linda Knapp, Ronald Botscheller and his wife Linda, Ernest Botscheller and his wife Mary, Marie Kauffman and her husband John, and Debbie Cahill and her husband Michael.  Cherished grandchildren Frankie Copit and his wife Paola, Melanie Botscheller, Megan Filiaggi and her husband Chris, Melissa and Danielle Kauffman, Nicholas Botscheller and Michael Cahill.  Loving Great Grandchildren Kara and Kaley Copit.

She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Botscheller in 2000.They were married 54 years and he was the love of her life -They enjoyed traveling,dancing,spending time with family/ friends and every moment together.

Ellen was a perfect example of what an amazing,caring,loving wife,mother,grandmother and friend should be all about - Her strong faith was the guide which shaped her life and all the lives around her.

To know her was to love her....she will be sadly missed by so many and will never be forgotten.

Friends may call on Monday February 22, 2016 from 4-8pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home 1028 Main St, Fishkill.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Fishkill.  Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
