Elizabeth 'Betty' Schoeberl (née Fink), 94, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 at Vassar Bros Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Born June 6, 1931 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of Charles and Lottie Fink, Betty lived a long and full life defined by love for her family.
In 1953, Betty married her husband, Ludwig "Wick" Schoeberl and together, they built a family that was the center of her life. She was a devoted mother to Laura (deceased), Karl and his wife Dianne. She was a loving grandmother to Erika, Joseph, and Timothy. She is also survived by a large extended family and her beloved cat Simba.

Known affectionately as "everyone's grandma", Betty had a presence that made people feel instantly at home. Her kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She will also be remembered for her wonderful cooking and recipes that brought family and friends together around the table.

Betty worked for many years as a secretary for Periphonics. Outside of work, she was an avid reader, a dedicated crossword puzzle enthusiast, and a traveler.

A celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date.
