Eithne L. Kost, 88, of Pleasant Valley, and formerly of Clinton Corners, passed away peacefully at Renaissance Nursing Home in Hyde Park on Tuesday, November 10th, 2015. Born in Manhattan, NY on April 21st, 1927, she was the daughter of Louise and Edward O'Neil. Eithne moved to Clinton Corners, NY with her family in 1969, after spending the first 42 years of her life in Sayville, LI. Eithne worked as a Transport Aide at St. Francis Hospital for 25 years, and was known as "The little red haired lady walking swiftly around St. Francis" Eithne was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer in 1971 and her son James in 2007. Eithne was an avid runner and nutritionist, enjoyed working in the yard and gardening to create a beautiful home for her family in Clinton Corners, and devoted her life to her six beloved children. Eithne is survived by her four children, Laura Weber and her husband David of Sayville, LI, Eric Kost and his wife Helen of Staatsburg, NY, Kathleen DeCaro and her husband Mark of Big Bear, CA, and her son Stephen of LaGrange, NY. Grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Lauren, Krystle, Krystina, Anthony, and Juliana, as well as her great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel O'Neil of Phoenix, AZ. She was predeceased by her brother Brian O'Neil. There will be no visitation. A ceremony will be held at the privacy of the family.
