Edward E. Daniels, Jr., 67, of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 04, 2017, at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was born on August 17, 1949 in Peekskill to the late Edward and Elizabeth Daniels.

He moved to Beacon in 1971. On July 2, 1971 he married Darlene Gilbert. Together they spent over 34 years together. Darlene passed away on August 11, 2005.

Edward enjoyed spending his mornings at the 84 Diner in Fishkill. He cherished spending time with his family. His striking blue eyes caught everyone's attention. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Toni, and her husband Kevin Muro; grandsons, Jake and Logan; brother in law, Bill Gilbert; sister in law, Sandra Gilbert; sister, Shirley and her husband Carmelo Roldan; sister in law, Joann Cook and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Geraldine, Sharon and Freddie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM, at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 1028 Main St., Fishkill, NY 12524. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10 AM from the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
