Edward G. Becker, devoted, husband, father , grandfather and great grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Thursday December 3, 2015 at home with his best friend and companion, dog Harley and family by his side. Born on January 16, 1926 on Bridge Street in Hopewell Junction. Son of the late Henry Martin Becker and Mamie Marie Aicheler. He attended Beacon Schools and served in World War II and was injured in the Battle of the Bulge and received a Bronze Battle Star. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and in recent years became part of the family at Faith Assembly. He married Evelyn Lyons on June 7, 1959 at the First Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsie, NY and resided in Red Oaks Mill. He was a class A mechanic at Healey International Harvester until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Becker on November 27, 2013 and a brother Charles Becker. He is survived by his daughter Cindy Rembisz and her husband Richard, and by his son Craig Becker. His grandson Jesse Rembisz and 2 great granddaughters Kylie and Keirs and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday December 7, 2015 from 5-9pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 900 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday Moring at 11:30am at the funeral home with Pastor Ronald Conti officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
