Edith C. Cronk, 70, of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully on January, 21, 2021 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was born on October 19, 1950 in Poughkeepsie to the late Donald E. and Kathryn M. Hosier Cronk.

Edith graduated from Arlington High School in 1968. Edith worked for IBM for 25 years before retiring from there. She then became a home health aide at the age of 43. She devoted her last 27 working years to taking care of others and ended her career with Hospice.

She was a selfless person, always thinking of everyone but herself. Always there for anyone in need, and had a solid heart of gold; continuing to care for others up until her passing.

Edith was pre-deceased by her parents Donald and Katherine Cronk, along with two sisters Kathy and Donna Cronk.

Edith is survived by her Brother, James Cronk; Sister-Law Virginia Cline; Cousins Bob Lennox and his wife Linda, Joshua Lennox; Nieces, Amanda Cronk, Lisa Cronk, Stacey Gisin, and her husband Jeffrey; Great Nephews, Christopher Smith and his girlfriend Dariel Komar, Matthew Hoffman, Hayden; and Great Niece Katherine.

She is also survived by her significant other Conrad K. Thitchener, Step-Children Stacia and Ed Hansen, Conrad A. Thitchener; Step-Grandkids, Connor and Brittany Hansen; Anthony, Michael and his wife Lisa, Brandon and his wife Meghan Thitchener, and  many step great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday February 3,2021 from 10am-12pm , at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main Street Pleasant Valley, NY 12569 Funeral Services will follow from the funeral home at 12pm with burial in Salt Point Cemetery.
