It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Hosier, age 75, on December 31, 2023. She lived a full and vibrant life, marked by a profound dedication to her community, an unwavering love for her family and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Hudson River Psychiatric Center for many years as an occupational therapist. Donna was a proud member of both the Elks Club Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary, where she was involved in various projects focusing mainly on the children. In her earlier days, she was involved with the Girl Scouts as a camp leader. Donna had many interests including camping and fishing with the family in the Adirondacks, and her love of Bingo and Scratch Offs always paid off. She loved people, and was always happy to meet up for coffee or a long chat. Her sense of humor always made you smile.

Donna married her beloved husband, Ed Hosier on Sept 26, 1968, whom survives at home. Donna is survived by her daughter, Erika (Jamie) Rogers; granddaughter, Sarah (Dan) Gemmel; grandson, Phil (Grace) Rogers; granddaughter, Jillian Rogers; and her new great-grandson, Logan Gemmel, who filled Donna with so much love. Donna is also survived by her sister-in-law, Linda (Sparky) Ferris; and her sister, Judith Lane who resides in Texas. She is predeceased by her brother, Steve Lane; her father, Frank Lane and a brother-in-law, Bill Hosier.

Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 4-6pm. Graveside services will be held at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave, Poughkeepsie, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 10am.The procession to the cemetery will start at 9:30 from the funeral home.
