Diana V. Gendron, 75, of Poughkeepsie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 after a battle with ALS. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John and Joan Madden. Diana graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and attended Krissler Business Institute. She worked as a secretary at IBM for 10 years and then Dutchess County Mental Hygiene for 30 years before retiring at age 70. Family was everything to Diana, especially spending time with her grandchildren and watching their dance recitals. She loved traveling to Marco Island Florida, New England and was as an avid aerobics enthusiast. Diana is survived by her husband Arnold Gendron of 54 years and their two children; Deirdre Gendron, of Mansfield, Massachusetts and Geoffrey Gendron and his wife Kimberly and their two children Miranda and Molly, of Clinton Corners, NY. Visitation will be Sunday, October 30 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 31 at 11:00 am from St. Joseph's Church, 15 North Ave., Millbrook. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
