Craig Steven Gordon, a native of the Bronx, found his childhood roots in the tranquility of suburban Monsey, New York. His journey came to a close on November 1st, 2023, leaving behind a legacy built upon love for family, friends, music, and the art of photography.

In the 1970s, Craig's passion for music led him to immerse himself in the pulsating energy of rock and roll, where he witnessed legendary performances by some of the era's most iconic artists. Music became inseparable from his identity, a timeless love that endured through the decades.

Craig's pursuit of knowledge took him from the Green Meadow Waldorf School to the Germain School of Photography, where he honed his artistic talents. He melded his interests in politics, art, and gastronomy into the publication "Real News," a unique blend of topics that mirrored his eclectic passions. In the 1980s, Craig's commitment to healthy living led him into the restaurant industry, where he became a co-owner of "The Grainery" restaurant in Deerfield Beach, Florida sharing his love for wholesome, nourishing foods. He later went on to create the on-line "Now Age Press" engaging political commentary and health through interviews and blog posts.
His presence radiated warmth and compassion. Craig's passing reminds us of the importance of living with passion and purpose. He pursued his interests with boundless enthusiasm. In doing so, he showed us that life should be lived to the fullest, with an unwavering commitment to what brings us joy.

Craig is survived by his wife, The Rev. Heather Sisk, daughter Rachel Gordon, his mother Elaine; his brother Neil, his nephew Maximilian, his sister June, his nephew Ruben, his niece Sophie Michael (Danny), his great nephew and niece Simon and Aurora Michael.

Funeral services will be held this Friday Nov. 3rd at 9 a.m. from Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main Street (Rt 44),Pleasant Valley, NY 12569 (East of the Hudson River between Poughkeepsie and the Taconic Parkway). Burial immediately following in Rosendale Natural Cemetery, 793 Springtown Road, Tillson, NY 12486 (West of the Hudson River: about a 35 minute drive from Pleasant Valley)
