Constance Bennett McKinnon, 81, Staatsburg, left us to join the Lord on this day, September 28th, 2018.

Connie was born to the late Raymond Bennett and Lucille (Hill) Bennett on June 17th 1937, in Clinton Corners, NY. Connie attended schools in Millbrook, NY and attended Nursing School at Morrisania in the Bronx, NY. Connie married the late Hugh McKinnon in November 1958.

Connie is survived by her sons, Craig of Killeen, TX, Gordon of Staatsburg, NY, Gerard of Hyde Park, NY Hugh Michael and his wife, Yvonne of Killeen, TX, Gerald, of PA, Clarke of Albany, NY, and Dustin of IN; brothers, Richard (Linda) of Poughkeepsie,  NY, Stanley (Janice) of Newark, NJ,; sister, Lucia Lynn Bennett of Poughkeepsie, NY. Connie also left a special nephew and care-giver, Hugh Yarborough (Gloria) and several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond William and Ronald; sisters, Marilyn, Bette Ann, Nancy and Mildred.

Connie was employed by Vassar Brothers Hospital for 47 years, in the ICU and CCU Units. She also worked at the Hyde Park Nursing Home for many years. Connie belonged to Central Baptist Church, in Salt Point, where she was the church secretary for many years and preformed other duties until her sickness necessitated her relinquishing these duties. Connie was attended by family at home, but she sorely enjoyed the talks, closeness of a 70 plus year friendship of her lifelong "sister" Evelyn (Sissie) Johnson, a schoolmate, friend, confidante etc. "Thank you for being there Sis"

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 11 to 12 PM at Central Baptist Church, 26 Church Rd., Salt Point, NY 12578. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM. Interment will be in Nine Partners Cemetery, Millbrook.
