CLIFFORD THOMAS ROGERS

Poughkeepsie, NY - On January 1, 2021 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital Clifford T. Rogers, 89 of Poughkeepsie, died. Clifford was born June 12, 1931 in Poughkeepsie to Olive M. Morris and Percy G. Rogers. He married Florence R. Miller December 23, 1962 at First Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie. He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, and entered into the US Navy Reserve. Cliff is survived by his brothers Wilson Rogers of Michigan, Gordon Rogers of Kentucky, and Caulder Rogers of Virginia; children Wendy A. Kovar (David), Brian A Rogers, Sharon L. Henkel (Jeff), Douglas K. Rogers (Lorraine) and Cynthia J. Morano (Mark); grandchildren Amanda Romero (Isaac), Kevin Campion, Emily MacDougall, Brandon Rogers, Kaitlyn Rogers, Brianna Morano, Gabrielle Morano and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his wife, parents, sister Doris Sherman, and brothers Stewart "Buddy" Rogers and Morris Rogers.

Clifford was a veteran of the US Navy and a Seaman on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42). He retired from IBM and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 from Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to a charity of your choice or the American Heart Association.
