Charlotte Helen O'Neill, 90 of Pleasant Valley, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at her residence. Born on July 2, 1927 in Arlington,NY, she was the daughter of Clarence and Charlotte Zettl Ghee. Charlotte was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of 1945. On June 12, 1950 in Maryland, Charlotte married the love of her life James J. O'Neill. Mr. O'Neill predeceased her on October 1, 1999. She began her career in the 1940's with Central Hudson and then with IBM in the 1950's. From 1960-1992 Charlotte was employed at Fargo Manufacturing Co. and retired as Advertising Director. For many years she volunteered at Hospice and the Nearly New Shop. Her favorite time of the year was the Christmas season and loved spending time at the ocean. Charlotte is survived by her daughter and son in law, Erin O'Neill and Michael Mullen of Poughkeepsie; her brothers, Robert Ghee of Pleasant Valley and Howard Ghee of Troy,NY; her nieces and nephews, Phyllis and Donald Howe, Art Ghee and Michelle Moloney, Thomas and Debbie Ghee, Robert McCready, Kathy McCready, Lisa Ghee, Bo and Michelle Ghee, Howard Ghee, and Terry and Lisa Ghee. Visitation will be Monday, October 2 from 4-7 pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, October 3 at 11 am from St. Mary's Church, 231 Church St., Poughkeepsie. Inurnment will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery at the family's convenience.
