Charles R. Mondello, 91, of Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 with his daughter by his side.  He was born on December 19, 1931 to the late Rocco and Sarafina (Petrosina) Mondello. He and his late wife Theresa, raised their family in White Plains. They later moved to Pleasant Valley and Florida and settled back in Pleasant Valley. He belonged to the Italian/American Club in Florida, he enjoyed golfing, horseback riding and dancing. He especially loved singing and making his own music and was known professionally as Larry Starr singing for Kapp Records. While in the Air Force he would go to events singing for the service men. He later worked as a supervisor at Guiding Eyes for The Blind in Yorktown Heights, where he was known to be a jokester.

Charles will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Sara Jean and her husband Kevin Oberly; grandchildren, Jana Mondello, Jean Marie and her husband, Jeff Davies, Michael Aloia, Ricky Mondello, Christy Mondello and Brandon Oberly; great grandchildren, Samantha and Jenna Davies and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa; son, Richard and daughter, Lorraine.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 2 to 7 PM, with Military Honors at 6PM from Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.
