Carrie E. Germond, 83, of Verbank, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017 at home. She was born in Poughkeepsie on November 3, 1933, to the late Samuel Sr. and Ida May Germond. She worked for Cardinal Hayes in Millbrook for many years.

Carrie is survived by her brother, Samuel Germond Jr., sisters, Della Germond, Theresa Germond, amd Florence Stralley, nephews, Samuel Griffin and his daughter Emily S. Johnson, and William P. Jr. and his wife Joanne Griffin and her dog Grace. She is predeceased by her sister, Helen Griffin and nephew Robert Germond.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook, NY 12545.
