Carolyn I. Rozelle, 93 of Billings,NY, passed away at her residence in the early morning hours on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Our beloved Mother, MaMa Carolyn, went to be with our Lord and Savior. Her children and all our family and friends have been touched by this blessed woman. Her sweet soft spirit is now at rest in the loving arms of Jesus. We would like to celebrate her life on the days and hours listed below.

Born in Schultzville, NY on August 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leona Shook Ackert. Carolyn attended Rhinebeck High School and on April 5, 1942 in Schultzville, married Alfred L. Rozelle Sr. Mr. Rozelle predeceased her on September 29, 2009.

Mrs. Rozelle had been employed as a cafeteria cook at Arlington High School for many years.

She was a member of Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church for over 60 years.

Carolyn is survived by her brother, Charles Ackert Jr. and wife Marge; her 4 children; Joyce Heagney and husband Dave, Cynthia Pfluger, Alfred L. Rozelle Jr. and wife Maria, and Gordon Rozelle; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Scott, Lenny, Rob, David, Carrie, Peter, Charlie, Timothy and Sarah Beth; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren, and 15 step grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, her grandson John, her sister Olive Camburn and son in law Steve Pfluger.

Visitation will be Monday, July 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church, Route 55, LaGrangeville,NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1 at 2pm from the church. Interment will follow in Freedom Plains Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to Disabled American Veterans(DAV), P.O. Box 14301. Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
