Obituary

Carol Decker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Decker, with whom she shared many cherished years.

Born to Anna Scott Hampe and Frank T. Hampe, Carol was a proud graduate of Arlington High School. She dedicated much of her career to the Human Resources Department at St. Francis Hospital, where she was known for her kindness, hard work, and compassion toward others. A woman of deep faith, Carol was devoted to her Catholic religion and cherished her church family, who brought her strength, friendship, and comfort throughout her life. Her faith guided the way she cared for others and the love she shared with family and friends.

Above all else, Carol's greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, strength, warmth, unwavering faith, and the countless memories she created with those she loved.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Hanaburgh, preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hanaburgh; and Anna DeFrance and her husband Robert DeFrance. She is also survived by her daughters, Debbie Decker; Rhondy McAllister and her husband Guy McAllister; and Christy Schroeder and her husband David Schroeder. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Krystal (Rose) Maness and her husband Stephen Maness; James Rose and his wife Alyssa Rose; Tyler Schroeder and his wife Jenna Seifert; and Siera Schroeder and her husband Derek Jacob. Carol was also blessed with her treasured great-granddaughters, Ryann and Maggie, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Carol's love, faith, and legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
