Carl Robert Lindholm Jr., of Millbrook, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.  He was born March 14, 1929, to Carl and Alice Lindholm in Queens, NY. After graduating from Poughkeepsie High School in 1947, Carl began a career at Central Hudson Gas & Electric, retiring in 1993. He was drafted into the Army in 1951, serving for two years and reaching the rank of Private First Class. Carl served his community as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Millbrook Engine, Hook, & Ladder Co. No. 1 from 1955 to 1968. On June 29th, 1968, he married the love of his life, Beatrice B. Lindholm, at the Lyall Memorial Church. Carl was preceded in death by his beloved Bea in 2010. He remained an active member of the Lyall Community Church and dedicated many of his later years to the Nine Partners Burial Grounds Association as Superintendent.

Carl was a beloved member of the Millbrook community and a dedicated patron of local businesses. He was an innovative thinker, known for his keen mind and sharp wit. He was never without a story to share, a book to recommend, or a pocket full of silver half dollars. To know him, truly, was to love him. While he never had any children of his own, Carl was an involved Uncle and friend. He is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews, as well as the many friends he came to love as family. Services for Carl will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, 10 AM at Nine Partners Cemetery in Millbrook.
