Barri Donnellan, marathon runner, passed away on October 2, 2021 at Mount Sinai Hospital after a short illness with esophageal cancer. She was born in Milburn, New Jersey, on December 9, 1960. Barri is survived by her daughter Daron McShane.

Early in her career, she worked in the fashion industry in New York City. Later on, she worked in Environmental Consulting. More recently, she worked in the fitness and wine industry. Barri was an avid marathon runner.  In her free time, she would cuddle with her rescue animals and partake in runs throughout New York. She was a very active volunteer for Angels of Light, and derived great joy from helping individuals affected by life-threatening illnesses. She was involved in the Miles of Hope run every year.

Barri was a devoted and caring mother and friend. Barri and her daughter enjoyed exercising, cooking and watching reality TV together. Additionally, Barri and her daughter volunteered with Angels of Light.  Barri was also popular in the town of Millbrook and enjoyed running and joking with her friends.  Many remember Barri for her quick-witted humor. Barri also loved her rescue cat Noelle and rescue dog Zen.

The memorial service for Barri Donnellan will take place at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave, Millbrook, NY 12545 on October 16, 2021 at 2 PM. After the memorial service, a gathering in honor of Barri will take place at Clinton Vineyards 450 Schultzville Rd, Clinton Corners, NY 12514. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angels Of Light, Inc., PO Box 345, Millbrook, NY in memory of Barri Donnellan .
