Barbara J. "Boey" Clum, 51, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 3, 2024, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born on January 2, 1973 in Poughkeepsie, New York, On September 14, 2003 She married the love of her life, Jeffrey Clum at Saint Joseph's Church in Millbrook. Jeffrey survives her at home along with their daughter Jamie Clum and their three dogs Luna, Oakley, and Chip. She is also survived by her parents, Andrew and Barbara (Curran) McPeck, Sr, her mother-in-law Nancy Clum, her siblings, Andrew J. McPeck, Jr. and his wife Pietrina, Allen McPeck, Aaron McPeck and his wife Jennifer, Mary Moran and her husband Kevin, Kelly Murphy and her husband Willy, Therese Cox and her husband Buddy, her brother-in-law Eddie Powers and her brother-in-law Doug Marsden and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Boey graduated from Arlington High School class of 91. She obtained her license in practical nursing from Dutchess County BOCES. She spent the majority of her career aiding the elderly in White Plains and Dutchess County. Most recently she was employed by Epic Management as a Nurse Liaison, coordinating the placement of patients for rehabilitation. Boey was also a dedicated caregiver for her parents.
Boey will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and wife, compassionate nurse, and fiercely loyal friend. Her humor and cordiality allowed her to engage in thoughtful conversation with family and strangers alike. Armed with quick wit and intelligence, she would never be opposed if that conversation turned to a good-natured debate.
A free spirit, Boey was known for her generous heart, incredible storytelling skills, contagious laugh, and her ability to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome despite the circumstances.
Boey was predeceased by her sisters, Tracy A. McPeck, Patricia A. Powers, as well as her father-in-law Richard Clum and sister-in-law Jennifer Marsden.
Calling hours will be held at Allen Funeral Home, Inc. Millbrook NY on Friday February 9th from 1-4 pm.
