On February 27th the world lost one of the true meanings of a mother. She was the type of mother that no matter what was going on or what was happening she made time to call her children. Anyone that was blessed to know her can tell you her heart was just like no other. If she knew you she would give you the shirt off her back, her last penny if it could help you even if she needed it she would have given it to you. She loved country music and attended so many concerts with her friends and family it was one thing that truly made her smile along with going to the casino as she would call it ca ching, She loved making huge holiday dinners even if there was going to be 10 people she cooked for 50. Christmas will never be the same all sitting down making cookies and hearing her yell over telling one of my sisters what to grab her next to make them.  The world lost an amazing person and she is the true meaning of what a mother really is to a family. As I sit here writing this my mom's biggest thing was family sticking together and being there for each other. If there is a family member you have lost touch with or having an argument with call them today, Put things aside and plan a Sunday night dinner. This would truly make her happy as she looks down over us today. As much as my family will miss her voice, calls and holiday dinners we know she is no longer suffering and in a place with her lost loved ones reunited and watching over us. If we as a family have half the fight of our mom in us we will be able to move mountains together and make her proud of all of us. Till we meet again fly high and you will forever be remembered as one of the best mothers any family could have ever wished for love you, from everyone in the DeCosmo family.

She is survived by Sister, Janet, Brother, James and Her Three Children, Louis DeCosmo, Dawn DeCosmo and Robin Feola, Sons-in-laws Thomas Feola and Mathew DeSimone. Nine Grandchildren Deanna, Amanda, Thomas, Madison, Emma, Jackson, Jaiden, Jasmine and her beloved deceased grandson Mason and one Great grandchild Caleb.

Calling hours will be Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00pm at Parmle Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

A Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Rd., Poughkeepsie, on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:00am.
