Alice Heidrick Balassone, Poughkeepsie, 94, a lifelong Dutchess County Resident crossed over to heaven on November 4, 2024 at Ferncliff Nursing Home.

Born November 29, 1929, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late Adolph J. and Alice Johnson Heidrick.

Alice attended Millbrook Memorial High School. She worked for NY Telephone since high school, in various departments for 41 years. She retired in 1989 from Verizon. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club.

In June 1964, Alice married George J. Balassone, who predeceased her in 1994. Alice and George enjoyed traveling to a new place each year, many to Disney World and just being together at home.

Alice is survived by her daughter Hazel Gregson and son-in-law, Glen, granddaughter Alice Fedyna of Saugerties and grandson Adam Giles of Middletown, NY.

There will be no calling hours at her request. A memorial celebration will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1872 Salt Point Tpk., Salt Point, NY, by Pastor Laurie Spencer at 11 am on Saturday November 16, followed by a luncheon in fellowship hall.
