Adrienne Kmiecik, 76 of New York City, NY passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Lutheran Care Center surrounded by her family, after a short battle with lung cancer. She is pre-deceased by:  Mother:  Susan Dow Kmiecik; Father:  Joseph Edward Kmiecik; Sisters: Jean Kmiecik, Frances Kelsi; Grandparents: Aunt Marie/Uncle George Bodle, Aunt Jean/Uncle Milton Pytka, Aunt Frances/Uncle Teddy Kmiecik, and Aunt Phyllis/Uncle Murphy Kaczmarski
Survivors Include: Sisters, Christine McDonald/ Saratoga Springs, NY, Linda DiFrenza/husband Bill, Salt Point, NY and niece Laura DiFrenza Luby/husband Mark, Pleasant Valley, NY; Cousins: Ted Kmiecik/wife Joanille, MA, Sandra Kaczmarski/MA, and Stephen Pytka.
She graduated in 1968 from The University of Albany w/a BA in English. After varies jobs she went on to work for NYS Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services as a Reimbursement Agent and retired in 2011.
Adrienne enjoyed her niece Laura growing up, summers in the Hamptons, scuba diving, the NY Times crossword puzzles, and living her life in New York City.
Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main Street, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569 on Tuesday 1/24/23 from 10am to 12noon. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, NY.

Adrienne's family would like to extend their thanks to the Staff of Hospice and Lutheran Care Center for their compassionate care during this difficult time.  The Lutheran Care Centers dedicated staff provided kindness and compassion to Adrienne during her final days.  We also want to thank the Doctors and Staff at Mount Sinai Israel, Mount Sinai West in NYC and Park Terrace Sub Acute Care Center in Rego Park.
